Either we will contact you or you might contact us. After initial screening, we will describe an assignment and then interview you thoroughly. We prepare extensive interview notes for our clients and we give you a copy of these too!
Interview
Besides being Recruitment consultants, we are also IT professionals and can genuinely advise you on the interview process - expectations, job role etc.
Signing Up
If its all systems go, then we will sign you up via your limited company, or as an employee via our PAYE scheme.
Working as a Contractor through Milan Resourcing
Your specialist Milan Resourcing consultant will be a dedicated point of contact for you, throughout your time contracting through us. The standard of service you receive will be second to none, with honest, straight-forward advice and guidance at all stages of the process.
How do I get paid?
We pay you on time, every time, provided you submit your timesheet and invoice (if you are not on our PAYE scheme) by the dates we provide you with.
The timesheet will record number of hours/days worked and it will require your manger's approval (please give them a signed copy for their records). You would then send the timesheet plus a VAT invoice to Milan Resourcing for processing. Milan Resourcing will then pay you within the agreed timeframe, via direct credit into your bank account by electronic transfer.
Our Terms of Business
We provide you with Terms of Business before you start, in line with current legislation, including:
- clauses consistent with a contract for services (self employment) rather than a contract of service (employment)
- the provision to opt under the ‘Agency Regulations’ (the Conduct of Employment Agencies and Employment Business Regulations 2003)
Care during an assignment
One of the biggest complaints contractors have against agencies is that they are money grabbing so and sos, and don't give a damn after I start! This is often true and we are working hard to reverse this. Yes we would like to come and see you and take you out for lunch/dinner, but if you are in a far-flung location, its not feasible or practical. But we do care, as you are our business! We aim to show our care as follows:
- Display total honestly with you in all dealings
- Manage your paperwork and finances efficiently
- Call you and your manager regularly to ensure you and they are happy
- Come and see you if we can (trust me - we do!)
- Help to retain you, get you sensible increases, where possible.
- Help to gain another assignment for you nearer the time of end of assignment
- Offer you a sensible referral fee (not a bottle of wine!) when you refer us to someone who gets employment
